Here’s what’s in store for you at a one-of- a-kind event to explore a new you!Bike & Hike by LGH is a unique fusion event combining free riding and race hiking and a chance for you to win a cash prize of Rs, 50,000/-.Flag off will be at 5:30 AM for Free riding - Bangalore to Coorg, with two mandatory checkpoints.Race Hike will be flagged off by 2:00 PM.Participants have to finish both Free Ride and Race Hike within the stipulated time frame to be considered eligible for the prize money.Registration fee for BIKE & HIKE by LGH - May 2017 is INR 5,000/- (Early Bird Offer)* for individual participation.Accommodation, along with dinner and breakfast next day, will be complimentary.Please note that pillion riders are not allowed for the ride or hike. What is not covered:

Riders will be responsible for paying for their own fuel, toll charges (if any), meals & snacks for times we are not taking care of & anything else not listed as included in the package.

1. Once registration is confirmed, the fee will not be refunded if the individual does not attend the Bike & Hike by LGH event, for any reason whatsoever.

2. You warrant that the registration is done for personal and private use.

3. The participants warrant that they are physically fit to participate in this event & in case of any illness, injury or death caused to the Participants during the event, due to any medical condition (whether pre-existing, or not, or known or not) or due to any force majeure event including but not limited to earthquake, fire, strike, terrorist attack, riot, commotion, Lets Go Hike & their respective directors, employees, affiliates, agents & representatives shall be not held liable in any manner whatsoever.

4. Transferring the registration in the course of the event is prohibited without the express permission of Lets Go Hike. Lets Go Hike hereby provides instructions to identify any illegally sold or re-sold or transferred registration or by unauthorised agents or other third parties. Holders of such registration or participation, whether knowingly or not, shall be refused admission to the B&H by LGH event or removed from the premises.

5. Lets Go Hike reserves the right at its sole discretion to refuse admission and to remove any holder from the premises (without any refund or damages), who does not comply with the rules of the event or these terms and conditions or if in the reasonable opinion of Lets Go Hike or their representatives, admission of the holder might be a risk to the safety of the audience and/or the holder and/or affect the enjoyment of the audience and/or the running of the event, or if the holder is a nuisance to the other guests or has in his or her possession any prohibited or illegal substances which include without limitation, chemicals of any kind, narcotic drugs, laser pens, weapons or offensive material of any kind or animals.

6. All persons entering the event site may be searched as a condition of entry. Strictly no illegal substances will be permitted into the site. Possession of them may lead to your ejection from the event. Private sound systems, glass, fireworks or any other items which the organisers deem unsuitable or inappropriate for the safety of the guests will not be permitted into the event site.

7. Participants will be provided a chest number on arrival which must be worn at all times for the duration of the event. Anyone found without the chest number may be asked to the leave the premises. In case of loss or any damage, the individual will have to register at the registration desk to gain entry & continue the event.

8. All entrants shall be responsible to keep the venue clean at all given time (Pit-stops, Ride & Hike). Any person causing or attempting to cause a fire will be removed from the premises. Any such person attempting to cause fire or indulging in any illegal or restricted activity , shall be entirely liable for any loss or damage caused to any person or property at the event site and may also attract criminal prosecution.

9. In case any entrant gets lost in the event, then such person shall report to the Event coordinators, where the loss may be reported. The event management staff will make reasonable efforts to help any such entrant.

10. No person may bring into Bike & Hike by LGH event premises or use or display around the premises any sponsorship, promotional or marketing materials which have not been previously approved in writing by Lets Go Hike. It is strictly prohibited to offer or distribute within or around the premises any consumer articles or commercial products or services which have not been authorised by Lets Go Hike.

11. The use of photographic or audio-visual equipment is allowed for private, non-commercial purposes only. No unauthorised person may make, create, store, record or transmit any kind of audio, visual or audio-visual material or any information or data by any method in any media relating to the event or any part of it.

12. Attendees consent to the photography, filming/sound recording as members of the audience, which may be used for promotional or commercial activities.

13. The attendees are advised to use the official sites for bike parks allotted at the Bike & Hike by LGH site. However, all vehicles (and their contents) parked within any bike park operated by the event are left at their owner’s sole risk. Lets Go Hike shall not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by owners arising from their use of any bike park in the event site. Lets Go Hike reserves the right to move any vehicle it deems necessary due to logistics convenience, safety or similar reasons.

14. All vehicles parked at the official sites for parking at the Bike & Hike by LGH site need to removed from the site post the event. Any vehicle not cleared or removed after the given timings may be towed away by the officials at the event or the traffic management agencies. The vehicle owner will be solely liable to get the car released from the agencies.

15. We strongly advise that for your own safety and convenience you do not park in unofficial sites.

16. The organisers reserve the right to implement any restrictions/conditions deemed necessary before and during the event to ensure the safe management of the event site.

17. Please avoid Amplified sound and strobe lighting at this event as we will be close to nature & might hurt the wildlife around.

18. Despite all reasonable precautions being taken, unavoidable accidents can happen. All attendees attending the event acknowledge that they may be exposed to possible risk of physical harm due to the nature of the event and are therefore present at their own risk. Lets Go Hike excludes any liability for such injury, loss or damage and will not be liable for any injury, loss or damage to any person or any property except to the extent that any such injury, loss or damage is caused by the negligence of Lets Go Hike, its employees or authorised agents. Where any attendee through negligence or intentional or reckless act causes damage or loss to Lets Go Hike, any other guest, participants or to any property at the event site, they will be liable to indemnify any such loss or damage.

19. The promoters reserve the right to amend the terms and conditions of entry into Bike & Hike by LGH in accordance with any new laws, legislation or internal company policies. LGH also reserves the right to increase or decrease the participation at its sole discretion.


We try to keep rules and regulations to a minimum, unless when necessary for the harmony and safety of the individual or group. However, we expect the few that we have, should be followed very strictly, failing which we may exclude that particular participant from the rest of the trip.

  • Intoxication: We do not allow any form of intoxication while travelling.
  • Conduct: Participants are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that preserves their dignity and others' around them, including other participants, support staff and locals of the region.
  • Environmental Responsibility: We must try and ensure that we maintain the sanctity of the regions we are passing through.
  • Medical Advice: If you are under medical treatment we expect you to follow the medical advice very strictly
  • Participants are expected to carry their luggage on their own till the ride. A vehicle will be at the beginning of hike site to carry your luggage while you are on the hike. Each rider is allowed to place one bag with maximum permissible limit of 15 Kgs.

Please Note: Do not carry any costly ornaments or heavy gadgets. Carry only what is necessary for the trip. As leaving the luggage behind will solely be at owner's risk.

  • Service backup – we will have a mechanic travelling along with some basic backup. We will do our best to help with the motorcycle, but in these hard conditions each rider is responsible for bringing their motorcycle home. Therefore motorcycle preparation is very crucial and the scrutiny will be thorough. We will try to guide you in both.
  • Medical Back-up - We will have a team of doctors travelling along for any medical emergency.
  • Get your motorcycle serviced well in advance and do not wait for the last minute. At ground level the most important components are the tyres and the wheels. Ensure that you have adequate tread on them. We recommend you start the ride with a brand new set of tubes since that will lower the risk of punctures.
  • Get the rims trued, a bent rim will affect handling.
  • Inspect and make sure that your motorcycle has genuine OE parts, especially hubs, spokes, rims and engine components. We cannot provide support for modified items and in such cases you are requested to carry your own spares.
  • Check condition of front fork oil seals and replace if needed.
  • Check the rear swing-arm bush for play and replace if needed.
  • Check your chain and rear sprocket for wear. If you find that there are less than four notch adjustments to go on your chain adjuster cam, replace your chain and both your sprockets.
  • The clutch is really crucial for this trip, make sure that your clutch is in good order and adjusted properly. When you open your clutch cover, also check the primary chain and the adjuster. Do not use any kind of additional insert under the chain adjuster. If the adjuster has reached its limit, replace the primary chain.
  • Check the battery and the earthing connections. If you have any history of electrical trouble, be sure that the problem is completely solved.
  • Check for play in the steering column and replace the ball race bearing if necessary.
  • Check all the rubber components like carburettor manifold, fuel lines, air filter manifold etc. for cracks and tears, and replace if in doubt.
  • Check all cables and if found bent or frayed, replace immediately.
  • Finally tighten all the nuts and bolts and if it is found to slip, or the threads are damaged, replace the relevant parts.

Helmet: ISI, DOT or Snell approved Full face OR Modular helmet: that also fits right.

Boots: Preferably riding boots or leather ankle boots.

Jacket: Preferably riding jacket or body armour.

Gloves: The perfect companion for your ride for comfort, grip and protection.

Pants: Preferably riding pants or denims with knee guards.


  • Sturdy Hiking boots, mid weight, lug-soled, above the ankle, waterproof and ideally well broken in. Important note: Buy your boots 1/2 size to 1 size larger than your street shoes to allow for feet swelling and thicker socks.
  • Lightweight tennis shoes or Floaters, for camp.
  • Hiking socks, one pair. (Wearing thin liner socks under your hiking socks is highly recommended).
  • Sunhat or baseball cap and bandana.
  • One pair of wicking tops and bottoms that are light-to mid-weight. (Nylon pants and shorts, or zip-offs).
  • A small duffel bag or backpack with extra hiking clothes (IF REQUIRED) & also to carry your water bottle.
  • Water bottles, 2 litres total capacity.
  • Camp pillow, lightweight, packable camp pillow.
  • Contact lenses and glasses if you wear contact lenses. Please also bring a pair of glasses – your contacts are likely to become dirty and may be difficult to clean.
  • Sunglasses, sunscreen (30+ SPF), lip balm
  • Bug repellent
  • Toiletries
  • Headlamp, spare batteries (preferably an L.E.D. type that works with AA or AAA batteries) (Specifically for night at campsite)
  • Camera, spare batteries (optional)
  • Notebook or paperback book (optional)
  • Knee braces, if needed
  • Prescription medicine, please inform your trip leader of any medications you are taking.
  • Vitamins (optional)

Here are some of the important points to note with reference to registration:

  • There are only a limited number of participants allowed at the event. Lets Go Hike reserves the right to decline any registration at their discretion. The candidate is confirmed only after their name appears on the LGH website, after payment is made and due documents are processed.
  • Registration fee for the Bike & Hike by LGH event for May - 2017 is as follows:
    Individual: INR 5,000/- (Early Bird Offer)*
    Motorcyclists should have a valid driving license permitted to ride a geared motorcycle in India.
    Carry original Pan Card or Aadhar Card or Passport or Voters ID - one of these documents will be required while the event is taking place.
    Carry original Vehicle Registration, Tax & Insurance certificate valid for the duration of the event.
  • MEDICAL INSURANCE( Required for rider)
    Personal Medical Insurance (Mediclaim) is mandatory, and should be valid in the country the event is taking place in. It should be valid for the duration of the trip.

Please note: If you do not have medical insurance kindly click on "Yet to be insured" on the upload document column as we shall cover you on accidental insurance only for the duration of the trip.

  • There is a lot of advance planning that goes into this event and based on a participant's confirmation, others might have to be turned down, hence we will not be in a position to refund the entire registration amount.
  • However, if you still have to cancel your participation. You will forfeit your registration amount, partly or completely depending on the below mentioned rules.
  • Cancellation on or before 1st April 2017 - 3000 INR - will be refunded
  • Cancellation on 2nd April 2017 or before 2nd May 2017 - 1500 INR - will be refunded
  • Cancellation on or after - 3rd May 2017 - No Refund.
  • In the event of the cancellation or postponement of the event, Lets Go Hike shall refund only the registration amount to the participant and not any other expenses incurred by the participant.

Means unusual and unforeseeable circumstances which are beyond normal control, the consequences of which could not have been avoided even if all due care had been exercised. Such circumstances or events include (but are not limited to) war, or threat of war, riot, civil strife, industrial dispute, unavoidable technical problems with transport, closure or congestion of airports, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear disaster, volcanic activity, fire and adverse weather conditions
